Romans 11
33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
34 “Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
35 “Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay them?”
36 For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Jarvis Street Baptist Church
Today, by the grace of God the church celebrates it's 200 year existence.
We praise God for all spiritual blessings He poured upon the church
Nothing last forever but only His Word.
We praise God for all spiritual blessings He poured upon the church
Nothing last forever but only His Word.
The LORD, GOD Almighty
The LORD is good and His faithfulness endures forever
His purposes, promises and goodwill are sure -
From eternity past He proclaimed them.
By His word everything comes forth -
Every single one of them reveals His glory, majesty and power.
The LORD is powerful and all wisdom resides in Him
His kingdom rules in righteousness and justice
For in His sovereign will He created man after His own image
By His divine power the fullness of creation was completed
Every single one of them has meaning, purpose and beauty.
The LORD is Holy and He is mighty to save
He reigns in majesty and power in Heaven and on Earth
From His temple flows the unceasing grace, mercy and love
By His eternal calling He brings people out of darkness
Every single one of them is called, justified and glorified.
The LORD is love and His love endures forever
His perfect love flows reaching all His elect to repentance
From the abundance of His heart comes the greatest love - making sinners righteous
For by His Son salvation was made possible to all who put their trust in Him
Every single one of them that calls the name of the LORD will be save.
The LORD is Spirit therefore worship Him in Spirit and in Truth
For He is a truthful friend who brings joy and comfort to the needy
For He understands our weaknesses and He heals the broken-hearted
For the LORD builds His church and it cannot be shaken
Therefore praise Him, sing joyful noise unto the LORD
For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things.
To Him be the glory forever! Amen

The Eternity of God, and Man’s Frailty
Psalm 90
1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place
throughout all generations.
2 Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
3 You turn people back to dust,
saying, “Return to dust, you mortals.”
4 A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night.
5 Yet you sweep people away in the sleep of death—
they are like the new grass of the morning:
6 In the morning it springs up new,
but by evening it is dry and withered.
7 We are consumed by your anger
and terrified by your indignation.
8 You have set our iniquities before you,
our secret sins in the light of your presence.
9 All our days pass away under your wrath;
we finish our years with a moan.
10 Our days may come to seventy years,
or eighty, if our strength endures;
yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,
for they quickly pass, and we fly away.
11 If only we knew the power of your anger!
Your wrath is as great as the fear that is your due.
12 Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
13 Relent, Lord! How long will it be?
Have compassion on your servants.
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,
that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,
for as many years as we have seen trouble.
16 May your deeds be shown to your servants,
your splendor to their children.
17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands.

Future Glory
Romans 8:28-30
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,
to those who are the called according to His purpose.
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son,
that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called;
whom He called, these He also justified;
and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,
to those who are the called according to His purpose.
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son,
that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called;
whom He called, these He also justified;
and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Woman
Woman, perfect and beautiful
Without her love is unknown
Without her man is alone
Without her life is unborn
She will bring forth generations
She will bear on her arms, a joy of life
She will nurse on her breast, a future hope
A future that may lead a nation
A future that may transform civilization
A future that will cause joy and sorrow
Without her love is unknown
Without her man is alone
Without her life is unborn
She will bring forth generations
She will bear on her arms, a joy of life
She will nurse on her breast, a future hope
A future that may lead a nation
A future that may transform civilization
A future that will cause joy and sorrow

God’s Perfect Knowledge of Man
Psalm 139
O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
3 You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
5 You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.
19 Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God!
Depart from me, therefore, you [i]bloodthirsty men.
20 For they speak against You wickedly;
[j]Your enemies take Your name in vain.
21 Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred;
I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
O Lord, You have searched me and known me.

My Love
Once again, love sparks and then comes a baby,
who needs nothing but a full belly
But you've grown into a lady, lovely smart lady
Who cares nothing but being happy and pretty
with a sexy flat belly
Then you fell in love, Oh! the crazy little thing
Doing wonders on your feelings nobody knows why
Who can forget the cupid's chatlines where love hangs in zeroes and ones
You have tasted the bitter sweet, the sourly delicious kind of thing
and the heavenly combinations in between
Having said all of that, the most important achievement --
You found the one you love -- your soulmate!
Then came the three jumpy lovely boys who rule your world
Good things happened, you became wiser and master of the four lucky boys
The moment you shout, the boys freezes in suspended animation
Sometimes you mesmerized them with your lovely voice
as if you are in a concierto -- the boys shouts in chorus, ‘angelic!’
They were charmed, warmed, loved and they sung --
‘it’s awesome to be with you’
Year's fly, is it just like yesterday?
Reminds me, lest I forget the twenties and calendar days
The romance, the fights, the kindling love and your face to behold
The beautiful moments through the years are like footprints
Waves keep coming, the prints are fading but the walking continues
The boys are growing, the battle got intense but you still holding the aces
The wrinkles may go deeper, creases becomes larger, the curves becomes parallel
But love still our language, hope still our virtue, faith still our strength
My love still your love and the three boys will forever be our treasure
who needs nothing but a full belly
But you've grown into a lady, lovely smart lady

God's Creation and His Law
Psalm 19
The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
2 Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their words to the end of the world.
In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.
6 Its rising is from one end of heaven,
And its circuit to the other end;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.

Days and Life
A day to burn also day's to be thankful
What life will it be?
It could be between sorrow and success
You can look back the missteps,
learn from it and build a stable ground.
Do not forget to count your blessings
I assure you it's a celebration -- not a struggle
Vex not your heart my friend
for there is always tomorrow
Days of flower, birds of spring,
fun in summertime and joy of the harvest.
The autumn colors and fall to enjoy
Then Christmas times --
Symbols of love, peace and goodwill
So heads up and look high for bright is the future
As the saying goes, "Fortune favors the bold"
What life will it be?
It could be between sorrow and success
You can look back the missteps,
learn from it and build a stable ground.
Do not forget to count your blessings
I assure you it's a celebration -- not a struggle
Vex not your heart my friend

In Memoriam: All Three Scores and Seven
A life from the beginning, hopeful to the end
He who builds the house also builds the home,
full of joy, speckled with sorrows.
He who breaks the rod for love and not to spoil
He bends the stable for them to learn until they flies
Alas! He longs for them but nowhere to be seen again.
Now while he sleeps,
remember happy is the life serving the King
One day the trumps will sound
waking him up in glory for an eternity
How beautiful is that day?
Greater than the sun!
full of colors, full of praise!
How wonderful is the scene?
Mesmerizing, infinitely Joyful!
How dramatic is the reunion?
Indescribable, forever unbreakable!
He who sees the sun, sees the dawn
Once lost yet chosen and found the Savior
He who lived a simple life,
all three scores and seven
My father, Tatay Pepe
Resting in the bosom of the Creator.
He who builds the house also builds the home,
full of joy, speckled with sorrows.
He who breaks the rod for love and not to spoil
He bends the stable for them to learn until they flies

The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked
Psalm 1
Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Zero Gravity - Eric Gamalinda
The dry basin of the moon
must have held the bones of a race,
radiant minerals, or something devoid of genesis,
angel-heavy, idea-pure.
All summer we had waited for it,
our faces off-blue in front of the TV screen.
Nothing could be more ordinary —
two figures digging dirt in outer space —
while mother repeated Neil Armstrong’s words,
like a prayer electronically conveyed.
The dunes were lit like ancient silk,
like clandestine pearl.
In the constant lunar night this luminescence was all we hoped for.
A creature unto itself,
it poured into the room like a gradual flood of lightning,
touching every object with the cool burn of something not quite on fire.
If we stepped out Manila would be blank ether,
way station, a breathless abeyance.
It didn’t matter, at that moment, where our lives would lead:
father would disown one brother, one sister was going to die.
Not yet unhappy, we were ready to walk on the moon.
Reckless in our need for the possible,
we knew there was no turning back, our bags already packed,
the future a religion we could believe in.
